Acrophobia – How many times have you seen a TV show or movie where a person sees a spider and jumps up on a chair to escape from it? That may not be an option for folks who also suffer from acrophobia, which is a fear of height. Although stepping up on a chair doesn’t always trigger that phobia, it often doesn’t take more than a few extra feet to get the sweat dripping and the blood pumping. One common misconception is that vertigo and acrophobia is the same thing, but vertigo is actually dizziness that is brought on by heights rather than a fear.

While you don’t necessarily have to be clinophobic to be somniphobic, it doesn’t really matter once you realize that going to sleep is never an option anymore! Before the big day comes, imagine yourself playing the game in your mind. Imagine that your playing in front of a large audience. By playing the game in your mind, you will be better prepared to perform for real when the time comes. Self Visualization is a great way to reduce the fear and stress of a coming situation.

Panic Attacks & Worry – How Your ‘Fear’ Is The Important To Stopping Stress Attacks

Panic attacks commonly onset in people when they are between 18-30 years of age. They can affect anyone in any stage of life and are an intense onset of crippling fear that can last for about 10 minutes. Women are twice as likely to be affected by panic attacks than men. The reason for this isn’t known. A panic attack is the body’s mental response to a feeling of threat or fear. Understanding panic attacks and what causes them is a good way to begin the healing process.
